浴火黄土 涅槃黑陶
                             
                           ——记著名黑陶艺术家刘德功

 

 

    刘德功,山东章丘龙山人,1951年生,现为中国工艺美术协会高级会员,山东省工艺美术协会常务理事,山东省工艺美术协会黑陶专业委员会主任,山东省陶瓷艺术大师,济南民俗文化产业协会黑陶专业委员会会长,济南市非物质文化遗产传承人,济南德功龙山黑陶艺术有限公司总设计师,2008年12月结业于清华大学美术学院陶瓷艺术高研班,并参加中国工艺美术高级研修班学习。
    五获全国金奖,其代表作黑陶《蛋壳杯》在第44届全国“金凤凰”创新产品设计大奖赛荣获金奖。《东荷西柳》、《和谐之珠》、分别在第十届、第十二届中国工艺美术大师作品暨国际艺术精品博览会上获得“天工艺苑百花杯”中国工艺美术精品奖金奖。2012年,影雕作品《高歌》荣获第十三届“儒仕儒家.百花杯”中国工艺美术精品奖金奖。2013年,《篱透天香》获得了第十四届“国信·百花杯”中国工艺美术精品奖金奖。2011年,刘德功携黑陶作品代表山东参加了在英国、韩国等国家举办的艺术品展览,并获得好评。2013年德功黑陶与中国第十届艺术节合作,成为十艺节筹委会唯一指定的黑陶厂家。同年8月,刘德功被评为济南市黑陶制作非物质文化遗产传承人。  
 
      走进刘德功黑陶艺术馆,就被扑面而来的黑色所震撼,或古朴自然,或端庄典雅,或柔美秀丽……做工之精美,构思之巧妙,让人应接不暇,叹为观止。著名黑陶艺术家刘德功先生,对自己的作品如数家珍,爱不释手,谈起创作的历程更是精神抖擞,娓娓道来。
       I was shocked by the black works ,which are made high quality,simple but natual ,or elegant in Liu degong’s black pottery art museum ,which is amazing. Liu degong , the master of black pottery, was very familiar with and fond of his own works when talking about creative process.
 
走进龙山文化

    刘德功对龙山文化的热爱源自于对音乐书画的爱好。青年时他就极富艺术细胞,并在乡村剧团里担任主弦;书画店里他忙前忙后,拜师娄本鹤大师专攻梅兰竹菊,从中受益匪浅;沉迷古玩珍品,广交天下好友。长期的艺术熏陶让他逐渐对古先民遗留下来的、玉器、金属器、瓦当等等产生了浓厚的兴趣。他开始对破碎的陶片按纹理拼接,一遍遍地欣赏复原后的陶釡、陶罐。藏友间的交流使他认识到,自己的藏品负载着古老的龙山文化,懵懵懂懂中,他走进了远古的文明,得以窥见这掩埋千年的灿烂文化。
        Liu degong’s deep love of longshan culture is derived from his interest in music, painting and calligraphy. He had extraordinary artistic talent in his youth.He used to play the main chord,run bookstore,learn painting on plum, orchid, bamboo and chrysanthemum from the master,Lou benhe and be immersed in gathering antique with friends. He had a keen interest in pottery, jade , metal device,eaves tiles and so on left by our forefathers when he suffered the edification of art in the long time. He began to piece together some broken pottery according to texture and watch some restoration pottery over and over again. He realized that his collections are a main carrier to promogate longshan culture during communication with antique friends. He walked into the ancient civilization and got a glimpse of the one thousand years of splendid culture buried in the earth.
 
       1972年,尼克松访华时对4600年前龙山文化时期的黑陶蛋壳杯的好奇,震撼了刘德功,脚下的这片土地有着怎样的魔力,吸引着万里之外的客人?与著名黑陶艺术大师仇志海先生交流,“仇式黑陶”重现古老黑陶的魅力,最终让刘德功决心担起“龙山黑陶文化复兴”的重任。
        President Nixon's interest in eggshell black pottery cup with high stem, about 4600 years ago ,on his visit in 1972, shocked Liu degong.What attracted the guest from thousands miles away under this land? Liu degong decided to take the important task to revive longshan black pottery culture after he exchanged with Qiu zhihai,the famous black pottery art master and was deeply impressed by "Qiu black pottery" which recreated the charm of ancient black pottery.
 
重现千年技艺

    黑陶是龙山文化最重要的一个特征,被誉为“土与火的艺术、力与美的结晶”,黑陶技术已失传四千多年,其魅力却千年依旧,曾经它温暖了岁月,今时它惊艳了时光。
        Black pottery is one of the most important characteristics of longshan culture, known as "the art of earth and fire, the crystallization of force and beauty".Black pottery technology has lost more than four thousand years.Its charm is still go on for years which warmed old days and is cool in our times.
 
    八十年代,陶艺重生之潮渐起,刘德功怀揣着传承祖国古老黑陶艺术并不断使之发扬光大的坚定信念,在荆棘丛生的探索之路上开始了龙山人黑陶梦的续写。
        In 1980s, the tide of pottery rebirth run.Liu degong started his longshan black pottery dream on a thorny road with his firm faith to inherit black pottery skill and make it continuously carry forward.
 
    恢复古人技艺,完成龙山文化蛋壳陶的复制工作是刘德功首要解决的难题。龙山黑陶“上典仰韶、下启殷商、左挽彩陶、右携青铜”,其代表蛋壳陶,是我国石器时代乃至整个古代黑陶工艺的最高水平。
        Restoring the ancient skill to complete the longshan culture replication work,eggshell pottery, is the first step to take for Liu degong. Longshan black pottery is between the yangshao culture and the yinshang culture ,and between the painted pottery culture and the bronze culture, whose representative work, eggshell pottery, is the highest level of black pottery process in the Stone Age and even the whole ancient  in our country。
 
    刘德功深知重现千年技艺的难度之大,以“三人行必有我师”的心态取经学习。他与当地的黑陶前辈联手研制、开发制陶技术;背起行囊,到北京、上海、哈尔滨等大中城市的博物馆、艺术馆及古玩城进行考察,向省内外的陶艺专家拜师学艺;泡在龙山城子崖博物馆,细心观察、揣摩原件,栖土枕窖,苦苦探寻。功夫不负苦心人,失传千年的制陶工艺重现天日。他重新掌握了先民先进的封窑技术,解决了黑陶烧制过程中对渗水和窑温控制的两大技术难题,复制黑陶变为现实。
        "two minds are always better then one".Liu degong was industrious in learning knowing that restoration projects is very difficult. He with the local black pottery predecessors researched and developed black pottery technology; He packed up bags to carry on the on-site investigation in large and medium-sized city’s museum or museum of art and antique such as Beijing, Shanghai, Harbin, learn with ceramic art experts inside and outside the province;stayed at Longshan Chengziya Museum day and night for careful observation and exploration. Where there's a will, there's a way。Pottery making craft, lost for thousands of years,was found again. He grasped the ancients advanced kiln technology, that solved two technical problems in the black pottery firing process, water seepage and kiln temperature control, making the black pottery copy reality.

    刘德功并不满足于对古老技术的复制,而是不断寻求创新,赋予黑陶新的生命内涵。黑陶在石器时代是一种日用生活用品,随着时代的变迁,它的使用价值逐渐被艺术价值所取代,成为手工技艺与中国传统文化的载体,力与美的结合使这一“国之瑰宝”极具观赏性。
        Liu degong is not satisfied with copying old technology.He is constantly seeking innovation and giving black pottery new life. Black pottery is a kind of daily necessities in the Stone Age.With the changes of The Times, its use value has been replaced with the artistic value, and become the carrier of craftsmanship and Chinese traditional culture. Black pottery,combined force and beauty , the national treasure,is  of the highly ornamental.
 
     在龙山黑陶界,刘德功是将浮雕艺术与古老黑陶艺术相结合的开拓者,首创“手工描金工艺”和“手工影雕刻陶工艺”,赋予了古老黑陶艺术更为广阔的发展空间。
        Liu degong, a pioneer of combining anaglyphy and the art of ancient black pottery,created the skills of "hand shadow paint process" and "manual shadow carving ceramic technology" in the longshan black pottery field broading large space for the ancient black pottery art.
 
 
    手工描金工艺”融镂雕、刻制、绘画、上彩等艺术形式于一体,将黑陶艺术与绘画艺术巧妙融合,展示出各种艺术形象,给人以艺术美的享受。“手工影雕刻陶工艺”,即在烧制好的原汁原味的陶体上,以手工硬刻的制作方式展示出画面效果,表现出画面的立体感、层次感,达到以无色胜有色的艺术感染力。
         The skill of "hand paint process" show skills of carving,engraving,painting, coloring and other forms of art skills, fused together black pottery art and painting art, showing various artistic image and artistic beauty. The skill of " hand shadow paint process " is a process,that shows the picture of stereo feeling and administrative levels enhancing artistic appeal by methods of hand carving making to show pictures in the  good original ceramic body.
 
        2013年,他创新“镶嵌”和“漆陶”工艺。“镶嵌漆陶”是以金属丝为线条,天然彩石为颜料,镶嵌成各种精美的图案,糅合油画、国画、浮雕、彩绘等艺术,使得这类作品具有整体和谐的美感,典雅与华贵并存,富贵与厚重同体。
        In 2013, he created "Mosaic" and "Painting pottery" process. "Mosaic Painting pottery" makess delicate mosaic designs,based on wire line and natural stones paint, with skills of Oil painting, traditional Chinese painting, sculpture, painting,making works harmonious and aesthetic, elegant and showily, noble and historical massiness.
 
    他在开创黑陶新工艺的同时也注重造型的创新,赋予黑陶现代气息,使之焕发新的光彩。2009年,在济南举办第十一届全运会之际,他创作献礼作品《东荷西柳》,用老祖宗的蛋壳陶技艺,将济南奥体中心的两座标志性建筑浓缩于斗方之间,熔雕刻、镂空、手工影雕刻陶等艺术手法于一炉,使一件高20厘米左右的蛋壳杯达到重量不足50克。其制作工艺之复杂,工艺难度系数之大,科技含量之高均创历史之最,媲美龙山文化黑陶“薄如纸”的特点。前来观礼第十一届全国运动会的中外嘉宾都领略到了古老黑陶艺术的无穷魅力。
        He pays attention to the innovation of modelling as well as creates new technology of black pottery, giving black pottery modern breath and a new luster. He created tribute works lotus and willow in the 11th National Games hosted by jinan in 2009.The work ,20cm and 50g,is after the shape of jinan Olympic sports center   and made with ancient eggshell pottery skill of carving, mosaic, hand shadow carving pottery. The complexity of its production process, the technology difficulty coefficient and the high technology level are top historically and comparable to longshan black pottery culture characteristics of "thin as paper". The guests home and abroad in the ceremony of the 11th national games appreciated the endless charm of the ancient black pottery art.
  
    刘德功以深厚的美术功底为基础,突破黑陶装饰单一的特点,以创新的手工艺术,赋予黑陶多变的造型、新颖的装饰,展现其新时代多彩的生命。
         Based  on the profound art knowledge, Liu degong found new skills instead of the boring decoration characteristics of black pottery.Black pottery are found changeful modelling and have kinds of novel adornment showing colorful life in the new era.

    刘德功的作品以其古朴典雅的特色和新颖别致的造型而倍受青睐,成为对外交往的馈赠佳品和现代收藏摆设的艺术珍品,它不仅在艺术天地中占有一席之地,并在经济生活中发挥着独特的作用。龙山黑陶以其“黑如漆,明如镜,硬如瓷,声如磬”的特色载入了世界工艺美术史,在中国乃至世界手工艺史上占据举足轻重的地位。
         Liu eegong’s works achieved popularity in and out of country with its primitive simplicity and elegant features ,novel and chic modelling becoming the external exchanges gifts buffets and modern decoration collection of art treasures, which not only occupies a place in the art world, but also plays a unique role in the economic life. Longshan black pottery, with its "black as lacquer, bright as a mirror, hard as porcelain, sound as qing" features,is listed in the craft art history in the world, and occupies pivotal position in the handicraft history of China and even the world.
 
    作为一名黑陶艺术工作者,他始终把弘扬“龙山文化、传承黑陶艺术”作为义不容辞的历史责任。他毫不保留地把黑陶制作工艺传授给青年爱好者。一方面在当地招收传承人,参与当地中小学校本课程的开发;另一方面与清华大学美院、山东工艺美术学院、山东理工大学、淄博职业学院等高校合作建立起教学科研实践基地;还与省内外的多所艺术院校建立广泛而深入的合作关系,设立 “学生创作实践车间”、“专家教授工作室”,坚持走“产学研”创新之路,让刘德功的黑陶艺术无论在文化内涵,还是科技含量和艺术水准等方面都做到了与时俱进。
        As a black pottery art worker, he takes an unshirkable duty to carry forward the "longshan culture, black pottery art". He had no reservation to impart black pottery making craft to young fans. On the one hand, he recruites successor in local place and participates in the development of local primary and secondary school-based curriculum; On the other hand he established teaching and scientific research practice base with the academy of tsinghua university, shandong institute of arts and crafts, shandong university of technology, zibo vocational college and other colleges and universities; He also established a broad and deep cooperation with many art colleges and universities inside and outside shandong province by setting up "student creative practice workshop", "expert professor studio", adhere to the road "production,study and research " that made Liu degong in the art road of black pottery kept pace with The Times in culture ,scientific and technological content and artistic level.
 
 
    他热衷于公益事业,倾己之所能,回报社会。他以“做一个有良知的艺术家”为己任,2009年第十一届全运会捐赠《全运之魂》等全运系列作品;2013年十艺节捐赠大型黑陶艺术品《齐鲁圣境•华夏智慧》;向济南美术馆新馆捐赠黑陶精品《龙柱》。他通过齐鲁电视台、济南电视台的小么哥和阿庆哥向红十字会、慈善总会以及向汶川地震灾区的捐款。他希望在帮助社会的同时,让更多的人了解龙山文化,热爱黑陶艺术。
        He is keen on public welfare undertakings, pouring himself to return society. He to ",as a conscientious artist", contributed series of works such as soul of national games in the eleventh national games in 2009; He contributed large black pottery art "qilu sacred land· the Chinese wisdom"in the 10 arts festival in 2013; He contributed the black pottery high-quality works "Long Zhu" to the jinan new gallery. He donated to the Red Cross, charity federation, and the wenchuan earthquake disaster area through the qilu TV, jinan TV Xiao mege and A qingge. He hopes that more people understand the longshan culture and love black pottery art by servicing society.
 
    刘德功携一抔黄土,淬一炉精华。他凭着一股热情研制黑陶技艺,将这一“黑色的精灵”以撼人心扉的姿态展现在世人面前;他肩负着龙山人对传统文化的传承使命,奔走相告,不辞辛劳,桃李天下;他徜徉在艺术的海洋,品味着黑陶的历史沧桑与时代气息,力求再创佳作!
